Special Adapters

Besides simple round threaded adapters there is a universe of other adapter gizzmos. Its almost impossible to specify these as a product line but there are broad categories that can get you in the ball park as to what to ask for.

    Sometimes its needed to fit a lens or shutter which requires a larger hole size in the lensboard than it can accomodate. Sometimes an Extension Tube can be fabricated and fitted to the too small lensboard to allow it to work. Not including the price of the lensboard this type of adapter costs $75.00 to $125.00

    A camera body such as Hassleblad or Pentax can be coupled with an extension tube to fit to the back of an ordinary view camera. This allows reflex focus and camera movements to be used with small film. This is a way of using view camera lenses on roll film or 35mm cameras. This Sinar board accepts a Hasselblad camera body but has no provision for cable operation of the "Blad

   Lens fitted to camera not originally intended. Shown is a Zeiss Sonnar DDR lens originally intended for Pentacon reflex camera fitted to a Pentax 6X7. There's almost always some drawbacks. This one focuses infinity and has manual iris operation. Price was $200.00

    This much more complex project was to fit a Zeiss Mirotar 500mm lens originally intended for Nikon to fit Contax 645 camera. It involved design work and modifications to acheive infinity focus as well as rotating camera back and filter installation. It needed a special made bag bellows. Price for this job was $2500.00
