Usually when two lensboards are nearly the same size its impractical to make an adapter that will accomodate.

In this case (requested by a customer of Foto Care in New York) the task was to allow the popular Linhof Technika lensboard to fit the small sized (4X4 lensboard) Deardorff camera.

The picture shows a Technika type lensboard fitting the Deardorff camera.

Instead of making a traditional adapter with its own fitting hardware, I employed the existing Deardorff parts just as fitted to the camera to hold the Technika lensboard. The adapter is simply a machined plastic bushing that fills in the space usually occupied by wood Deardorff lensboard.

The finished result is a simple "bolt together" which involves no modification to the camera or the lensboard.
