Arca 6x9 to Nikon DSLR conversion Massachusetts' Photographer, Jim Dunham, wanted to use his Nikon D2x in conjunction with the micro geared movements of his 6x9 Arca Swiss Camera. Similar to a Horseman LD, our system replaces the rear standard of the studio camera with a mounting bracket for the camera. This bracket was designed to hold the camera at a vertical position, and to locate the image chip in Arca Swiss's designated film plane. This allows the camera to utilize the "orbix " system which keeps the "movements perpendicular to the optical axis rather than the monorail." A hidden set pin keeps the camera from inadvertently turning. |
Bag bellows were manufactured by UK manufacturer Camera Bellows and allow for significant compression between the camera and the front standard. A modification to a standard Arca Swiss Bellows is currently in the works for use with longer lenses for marco photography.
